Del Hampton with the MN Dahlia Society presented Dahlias Part 1 to Trillium members and guests. The presentation was "A Year In The Life Of An Urban Dahlia Grower. It covered the method and monitoring process for over-wintered tubers and the activities to expect each month up until summer. Dahlias Part 2 will take place at our August meeting.

January 10, 2020 Mission Statement Development
This meeting was devoted to developing a mission statement for Trillium Garden Club. Becci Dawson-Cox facilitated the discussion with input from all other members in attendance. Input was collected which will be reviewed by a committee to present final ideas to the club.
December 11, 2019 Holiday Brunch and Gift Exchange
Today's event was held in the home of Mary Clare Huelsmann. There were 14 members in attendance. We held the gift exchange and reviewed the program schedule for 2020.

November 13, 2019 Wreath Making
We met at the home of Lou Engwer. Becci Dawson-Cox demonstrated wreath making using a basic, inexpensive wreaths and adding embellishments such as hydrangeas, grasses, assorted varieties of evergreens, etc. Each member brought their own trim, ribbon and decorations. The results were unique to each participant!

September 11, 2019 Tea Tasting!
We held a tea tasting event with samplings of members’ favorite ingredients presented by Jessie Tastad and Paula Hemer. There was a wide variety of herbal teas to taste along with many homemade fruit butters and jams, finger sandwiches and other treats.
There is nothing like a warm, soothing cup of herbal tea made from your own homegrown herbs and the company of wonderful friends to make a morning enjoyable.

August 14, 2019 Arcola Trail Flower Farm Tour
Our tour for Wednesday, August 14th was Arcola Trail Flower Farm. Susan Rockwood and her husband started the business in 2015, when Susan retired from a health care administration career. They grow and sell their cut flowers to floral designers, groceries, brides, or to anyone who needs more flowers! They provide local, organically grown blooms from May to October.
